Refund
A refund is money paid back — at DLD, a refund of fees paid; in an off-plan purchase, money returned to a buyer when a contract ends.
Definition
DLD’s Fees refund request service lets you ask for a full or partial refund of fees paid, using the receipt voucher and bank account details, with a stated service duration of 7 business days. For off-plan sales, Law No. (19) of 2020 requires the developer to refund what it does not retain “within one (1) year from the termination” of the agreement or within “sixty (60) days from the date of resale” of the unit, whichever comes first.
What it shows — and what it does not
Whether a refund is due, and how much, depends on the service or the contract and the law; DLD’s fee refund is separate from money owed between buyer and developer.
Example
Illustrative example: a fee is paid twice by mistake; the payer submits the receipt and bank details through DLD’s refund service.
