Trustee centre
A trustee centre — the Dubai Land Department calls them Real Estate Registration Trustee offices — is an office authorised by DLD to register property transactions such as sales and mortgages.
Definition
DLD’s RT Offices page lists 19 offices and describes them as centres providing “real estate dispositions services such as registration of sale and mortgage”. For a sale, DLD’s Property Sale Registration page sends the parties to “one of the service centers – the offices of the Real Estate Registration Trustee”, where staff check the documents, enter the transaction, take the fees and create the request. The same page lists the service partner fee as AED 4,000 + VAT where the sale value is AED 500,000 or more, and AED 2,000 + VAT below that.
What it shows — and what it does not
The trustee office is where the registration request is made and the fees are paid. A booked appointment is not the same as a ready file: the documents DLD lists for the service still have to be complete and correct on the day.
Example
Illustrative example: buyer and seller attend a trustee office with their Emirates IDs and the developer’s e-NOC. Staff upload the documents, enter the transaction, the fees are paid, and the buyer’s details are entered before the request is submitted.
