Other property ownership changes in Dubai

Some changes do not fit a standard sale or an individual family gift. Start by describing the current ownership record and the result you want recorded. We review the procedural route before confirming whether an agreed coordination scope can be offered.

Describe the ownership change

Explain the change in plain terms

Name the current registered owner, the proposed owner or owners, the shares involved and whether any payment is being made. State why the change is taking place. If you are correcting a record rather than transferring an interest, say so explicitly.

A useful enquiry is: “The property is registered to these owners in these shares; we want this proposed ownership recorded; this is the basis of the change.” Avoid relying on a label such as “internal transfer” without the underlying facts.

Identify the issues that need specialist attention

Tell us about an inheritance matter, court order, disputed ownership, company dissolution, trust arrangement, restructuring or unclear authority. Those circumstances may require legal advice or a decision by an authority before procedural coordination can be defined.

We do not decide inheritance entitlements, interpret a court order, settle a dispute or advise on the legal and tax consequences of an ownership structure. Where those decisions are needed, obtain the appropriate professional advice.

Gather the current records

Start with the property registration record, party identities and any document that forms the basis of the proposed change. Add relevant company or representation information and disclose a mortgage or other known restriction.

Do not alter source documents to make them match. Record a discrepancy and ask which issuing body or adviser must resolve it. The name-mismatch guide explains how to prepare that issue clearly.

What the route review is for

The review identifies the procedural questions, available evidence, likely dependencies and the scope Conveyance can offer. It is not confirmation that an authority will accept the change. A reviewed quotation should describe the actual work, assumptions and responsibilities before appointment.

Use a specific service when it fits

For an ordinary sale, use the four funding routes. For a proposed individual gift to a spouse, parent or child, use the gifting route check. For entity ownership, read the company and trust service.

Send an initial enquiry

Include the property’s registration status, current and intended ownership, basis of change and known finance or authority issues. You do not need to send private documents through a public tool. We can identify the appropriate secure intake after the initial enquiry.
