Transferee
The transferee is the person or company receiving ownership in a transfer — the buyer in a sale, the recipient in a gift.
Definition
DLD’s service pages use different words for the same parties. The Property Sale Registration page speaks of the seller and the buyer, asks for both parties’ Emirates ID (or a valid passport for non-resident foreigners), and enters the buyer’s details before the request is submitted. The Title transfer application page speaks of the transferor and the owner. The document issued on registration is the electronic title deed.
What it shows — and what it does not
Being named as the receiving party in an agreement does not by itself make you the owner: ownership is recorded when DLD registers the transfer and issues the electronic title deed.
Example
Illustrative example: in a sale, the buyer is the transferee; their Emirates ID details are entered at the trustee office, and the new electronic title deed is issued in their name.
