Trustee Appointment

A trustee appointment is the visit to a Real Estate Registration Trustee office at which a sale is registered.

Definition

DLD’s Property Sale Registration page sets out the steps: “Make your way to one of the service centers – the offices of the Real Estate Registration Trustee”, submit the documents, and the request is entered; it adds “Please note the reference number for booking, as it will be needed for follow-up.” DLD’s gift and inheritance services also start with a visit to a trustee office.

What it shows — and what it does not

The appointment is where the sale is registered, so everything — IDs, the developer e-NOC, any bank documents and the payments — has to be ready that day. The booking reference is what you use to follow the request up.

Example

Illustrative example: buyer and seller attend the trustee office with their IDs and the e-NOC, the fees are paid, and they keep the booking reference to check the request afterwards.
