Knowledge Fee
The knowledge fee is a small Dubai Government fee added to transactions, including DLD property transactions.
Definition
The UAE Government portal states: “Dubai Government levies knowledge fee of AED 10 on every transaction. Such amount is used to support educational and cultural projects.” DLD’s Property Sale Registration page lists “AED 10 knowledge fee”; its Buy or Sell Property via Dubai Now page lists “AED 30 Knowledge Fee”.
What it shows — and what it does not
The amount depends on the service and channel, so check the DLD page for the service you are using. It is a small line, separate from the 2% registration fees.
Example
Illustrative example: a sale registered at a trustee office shows an AED 10 knowledge fee line; the same sale through Dubai Now shows AED 30.
