Glossary · Oqood
Oqood: meaning in Dubai property registration
Oqood is associated with Dubai’s provisional property-registration processes. When a transaction involves an off-plan unit, identify the relevant contract and registration evidence rather than describing every document as a title deed.
What to identify in your file
Record the property and project, purchaser details, underlying contract, registration reference and transaction status. Keep current payment information and the developer’s requirements alongside the registration record.
The official initial-sale service explains the applicable provisional-registration process.
Oqood and a title deed answer different questions
Do not substitute one label for the other. Check the property’s actual status and the output the relevant process should produce. Read the Oqood versus title-deed guide for a practical comparison.
If an existing off-plan interest is being resold
Identify the existing purchaser’s position, contract, registration evidence, payment obligations and the permitted developer/DLD process. The scope should be reviewed before a standard completed-property service or fee is assumed.
Our secondary off-plan resale guide lists the initial questions.
If evidence is missing
Ask the responsible developer or official channel which reference or output should exist and how it can be obtained. Keep the exact question and response in the file. An informal screenshot without context may not answer the registration question.
