Dubai REST and your property-transfer file

Dubai REST is Dubai Land Department’s property-services application. Use the official DLD routes to access it and identify the specific service relevant to your transaction. An app screen, a submitted request and an issued output are different stages.

Start from the official source

Use Dubai Land Department to find the official application and service information. Avoid lookalike download pages or unofficial requests for login credentials. Follow the current authentication process yourself; do not share account access through an ordinary message.

Identify the service you actually need

The transfer file may involve property information, a developer-related process, contract activity or another available DLD service. Confirm the required task and the authorised user who should perform it. Do not assume every transaction step is completed by opening the app.

Keep a reference for each request

Record the service name, application reference, status and any requested information. Keep the official output when it is issued. A screenshot can help explain a question, but it should not replace the actual reference or downloadable record where one is provided.

Distinguish the status labels

“Submitted” means a request has been made. “Information required” identifies another action. An approved or issued output needs to be checked for the property, party and purpose concerned. Record the actual status shown rather than summarising all stages as “done in REST”.

If details appear wrong

Check that you are viewing the intended property and current record. Capture the exact issue and use the relevant official support or correction process. Do not alter an exported document to make it appear correct.

How the app fits with conveyancing

An official digital service handles the task it is designed for. The wider file still needs the parties, agreement, documents, lender/developer dependencies, funds and applicable appointment preparation coordinated. Conveyance works within its agreed procedural scope and does not operate DLD’s systems.
